Dear Chris, There is a product called Marble Thix that I really like. I
tried boiling up a vat of carageenan moss and it was the pits. I also
tried using ox gall and it only value, in my opinion, is grossing out
jr. high students who really enjoy hearing about old ways and daring
each other to smell it! You have to let the Marble Thix grow overnight
also, then put it into pans and drip on(gently)drops of watered down
acrylic. Works great. The first year it tried this with 160 students
I used oil cut down with mineral spirits--I'm sure it's part of my
general inability to hold a train of thought!! Sid
