I have posted a short article as a web page.
It is titled: ART RITUALS IN THE CLASSROOM
It is about using a Beginning and Ending learning rituals in the art class.
The beginning rituals work on skills practice and the ending rituals connect
the day's activities to something from art history, from another culture, or
from art in everyday life. The ending rituals are determined by the art
concepts in that day's creative studio production.

This is where the full text can be read.

If you do not have access to a web browser, I can e-mail it as an attached
file in .RTF (rich text format) file format so that virtually any word
processor can open it.

This may be just the thing you are looking for to start the year.
Do you have experience with learning rituals in the artroom to share with
the group?
