Would any of your high school art students be interested in helping support
rescue efforts for retired racing greyhounds? The Greyt Greyhound Art
Contest and Auction is looking for entries. The artwork needs to include a
greyhound in some way. Students would need to submit a photo of the artwork
for the online voting and auction.

If the work is sold at the auction, 50% of the high bid price will go to the
artist and 50% will go to an emergency fund to help in track closings and
natural disasters for greyhound rescues. Deadline for submission is
December 1, 1996. Bidding for the online auction is open now and will
continue through January 1997.

To find out more about the art contest and auction, please check out this
web site:

If your students need inspiration or templates or patterns, check out our
personal web page at:

Please pass this on to any crafters or artists you know. The auction part
is open to crafters of all ages. Only the contest is limited to high school
students. Thanks!
