INTERNSHIP
Registrar Position
Cultural Affairs Department Slide Registry
and the
Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery

The City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department Slide Registry and the
Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery is seeking an intern to work as a
registrar. This position will help coordinate activities connected with our
Slide Registry: Contact artists, write reports, research and work with
curators in exhibition planning. This position will also assist our
archivist at the Municipal Art Gallery with organizing and maintaining
records for our exhibition files, file keeping and writing reports.

The Cultural Affairs Department Slide Registry is housed at the Municipal
Art Gallery in Barnsdall Art Park. The Gallery has an extensive Museum
Education and Tours Program as well as an excellent Exhibition program. The
registry began from a small number of artists in 1986, and has grown to
housing over 3,000 artists and slides. The registry is FREE to artists and
the general public. It is opened to curators, gallery owners, film studios,
art consultants, developers, libraries, universities, colleges, and artists.
Our program helps promote the visual arts in Los Angeles and Southern
California.

If you are interested in the opportunity to work with curators, and other
arts professionals please send in your current resume, interviews will be
set up soon.

Requirements: You must be enrolled in a college or be college age, have an
arts background, be computer educated, have good writing skills. We
encourage people of diverse backgrounds who can get along with others, and
must be able to commit to working 10 hours per week depending on the work
load. This program is part of the City/Community Arts, a Division of the
Cultural Affairs Department.

CALL for INTERNS

Membership Coordinator Position
Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery Associates

The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery Associates is seeking an intern to
develop and solicit membership for this growing non-profit arts group. The
intern will solicit the general public, corporations, and other business in
the community for memberships, and other fund raising programs.

The intern will work along with Board members and gallery staff on
strategies in development of prospective members, and will head-up a
membership drive.

Requirements: You must be enrolled in a college or be college age, have a
business or marketing background, be computer literate, and have excellent
writing and record keeping skills. We encourage people of diverse
backgrounds who can work well with the public . You must be able to commit
to working 15 hours per week depending on the work load. This position will
be under the supervision of the Municipal Art Gallery Associates Managing
Director.

If you are interested in the opportunity to work with arts professionals,
