I too find it difficult to take up a lot of studio time talking, responding, listening etc. All of that stuff is important, but kids really want to make stuff! Since its not likely that the number of periods for art per week will increase, I guess I'll have to keep working the other disciplines in as make art. I also believe that the intellectual aspect of the "making" process is important and should be promoted. I am presently working on a thesis/report that explores the "thinking" that takes place during art making. If anyone has any info or comments in regard to this, I would love to know about them!
