Ideas for drawing

Couldn't resist adding a few ideas for drawing that have been successful in
both Freehand Drawing 1 and 2/Adv classes.
1. Series drawing such as the soda can be smashed in three steps.
2. Paper airplane drawings (no flying until finished)-use lined notebook
paper and fold. Can show the steps in folding in the drawing or the flight
of the paper plane in different positions and sizes, if they crash the
plane at the end, then it won't fly. (Problem solved) I usually have them
have some of the planes fly off and on the page as well.
3. Candy (Halloween) wrapped, unwrapped, just the paper - eat the candy!
4. Draw a pencil from life, looking very carefully at all the details. Now
turn the pencil into something else in several steps - metamorphosis -
slowly expand and it can become an airplane, an elephant, train, etc.
Have fun, the list just will keep growing the more
ideas you start with.
