I co-teach a senior seminar with an English/Drama teacher called Art and
Humanity. I teach the Artsy stuff like art history, aesthetics, critiquing
skills, and some studio, while my partner fulfills the English requirment
with required readings, writings, and other senior English stuff. We are
trying to teach the foundations of what it is to be human, to create,
express, and demonstrate how the Arts enrich our world.
My partner, Steve, has really enjoyed the Artsednet postings that I have
shared with him and and he has wondered if there a List-serve out there that
is directed towards the Drama/English teacher such as the Artsednet is
focused on the art educator? He doesn't want the discussion to be for just
drama coaches and about play productions and which plays work or not, but a
discussion about using drama and theater as part of the academic curriculum.
Any one out there have an address of such a list?
My partner's name is Steve Hodgman and he can be reached directly at
"shodgman" or respond to me or the list as a whole.
