Check out Introduction to Tessellations by Dale Seymour and Jill
Britton. They show examples of crochet patterns, quilts, fabric design,
parquet flooring, ceramic tiles, medieval tile flooring, architectural
design, steel ceiling design, vaulting in English cathedrals, paving
tiles in sidewalks.
