I am an elementary art teacher in Indianapolis. My school recently became the
fine arts focus school for the district. Classroom teachers now are to
integrate the fine arts into their curriculum and are to produce a "showcase"
once a year. As the art teacher for the school, I am to serve as a resource
person for the classroom teachers as well as teach my own art classes. Does
anyone have resources they can share that I could use? Lessons they have
created? Many classroom teachers are interested in writing, reading, math and
social studies. I would like to encourage them to branch into art history,
aesthetics, higher order thinking -- not just make and take multicultural
projects they can have the students duplicate, color and cut out. Thanks!
