[teacherartexchange] Are Teachers doing remediation in Reading and Math.
As President of PAEA I have been asked to collect data for a colleague.
Are Art Educators in your schools being asked to do remediation in Reading and Math with extra schedule time.
Having to work with students who need extra time for reading and math instead of duties in their Art position.
Many administrators have deemed this "extra" time as serving a greater purpose in doing remediation in other subjects.
Does anyone else do this? If so, what sorts of activities do you do?
Have you seen improvements in the students?
We are wondering how common this is across the country.
