You are supposed to pull the yarn from the inside. I make sure it isn't
tangled before pulling. I have all my skeins in a box with the string hanging
over the side. The kids come up and measure and then cut. It keeps it
straight and no tangles. I tape the string of the yarn on the outside..to the
lable.
