Hi,
We are one of those school districts that is so excruciatingly
politically correct that we don't mention any holidays. We have winter
break, spring break, no reindeer, no menorahs, no Halloween, no red or
green, nada! I feel like we have stripped away the "folk holiday"
aspect of our society. The district does publish a multicultural
calendar every year - just don't try to celebrate any of those holidays
at school!

Not true everywhere. We had a big 'bruhaha' at a school and for their
'winter parties' they couldn't even bring in anything red or green.
Many public schools are banned from even mentioning Christmas. FYI

Isn't it a little funny - that the catholic schools can't talk about
PEACE, because it might upset the government, but the PUBLIC schools
have no worries about selling christmas cards and christmas crafts...
