Dear Art Educators,

This topic of working with special needs students comes up frequently
on all list serves.

I heard back from Nancy Walkup already... SchoolArts is trying to have
a feature article in each month on students with special needs.

The Aug/Sept issue has a wonderful article by Susan Striker on working
with a boy who was born blind.

If you have done a successful unit with special needs students, please
think about writing an article for publication in SchoolArts. Nancy
Walkup's email address is on the site (see contacts). Also be sure to
look at the writer's guidelines. Pam Stephens is willing to review
your articles and give suggestions.

When articles are published, SchoolArts pays a stipend to the author.
Think about all of the art teachers you will be helping by sharing
your experiences.
