[teacherartexchange] stringing "beads" - kinders

The kinders are working on simple patterns in math. I would like to have them
make necklaces that have a pattern. But these are September kinders. Any
good cheap ideas out there?

I have Sketti string, shoelaces (for bracelets) and pony beads. I think those
things are too fine-motor for these kids.

I did think about ziti dyed with food coloring...but if the kids sweat what'll
