About teachers requesting art supplies:

At my schools I am responsible for ordering paper for ALL to use. I keep a
record of how much is used from year to year and it fluctuates. I order
drawing, construction, roll paper, tag and posterboard for everyone.

Teachers come to me for stuff all the time. If I have lots I always share. I
often ask them what they are trying to do or make and offer suggestions on
how to do it easier or differently (they benefit from my mistakes).

When I am presented with a request that is unreasonable (make my play
props, give me a gallon of green paint, 100 black pipecleaners), I simply
decline. And I haven't noticed that anyone is getting upset with that
response.
