Like Rick I wanted them to also make it meaningful to them as well as the big picture of peace....we also equated this in class to resolving conflict at school, with friends, tolerance, etc. Guess I'm glad I didn't ask before doing :-) I'm sorry that you guys are faced with those kinds of attitudes about this great project.
...questions....we are "planting" along the top of the new (ugly) fence on the driveway entrance...we're kind of windy up here and the pins are pulling out and the pinwheels go flying...also, they don't seem to want to stay upright on the fence very well.....any ideas?? (we have been using pencils with straight pins) want them to stay up for at least 3 or 4 days as we have two back to school nights this week.
I also ordered some ready made ones from Oriental Trader to add in AND OH, SO COOL headbands with pinwheel antennas for the kids..can't wait to give them to them to wear :-)
