another way to phrase it

I like this thread and as always, what happens in my classes fit right
in with what is going on Artsednet. Today I looked at a 2nd grader who
has stirred up his table group since school started and said, "You know
Austin, I think I'm going to move you to Claude Monet's group because
they have been working so well together and making the right choices.
Now Joseph, just because I'm moving you out of Monet's group to sit in
Austin's seat, I'll still expect you to work the way you have been
doing. You have been doing a great job of listening......" I didn't
want the switcheroo to happen, like someone mentioned ..moving will make
Austin better and Joseph worse!! Anyway, thanks for the timely words - I
used them today.
A nice way to say things that we use at our school... if a child is
repeating a grade we say they are getting the gift of another year in
kdg. (or first of whatever)
Thanks for all the information about you grade at your schools. I'm
printing it all up to bring to the table on Monday! Have a safe next
few days..all of you who are in Ivan's path. We are predicted to have
heavy rains again.
