Apple Cider Vinegar and Clay????

I was reading online that apple cider vinegar can be used to seal clay and
prevent future cracking. The instructions said that once you slipped,
scored and joined a section of clay that you should lightly spray apple
cider vinegar to seal and prevent future cracking. Has anyone used apple
cider vinegar this way? Any comments?
