Thanks to all who gave advice for the hand mandalas.

Date: Tue Sep 07 2004 - 19:04:22 PDT

I have presented the lesson to two groups. In both classes, you could
have heard a pin drop for two whole periods! I played Carlos Nikai in
the background. It was WONDERFUL. Some kids have decided that they want
to do journals of mandalas on their own. They loved it. I'll take
photos when they are finished. My favorite part was their reaction to
the sweeping up of the sand mandalas in the powerpoint I showed them.
When I told them what they did with the sand they thought that was SO
cool, but at first they were horrified that something so beautiful is
destroyed as part of the process.
