Whew! Frances is gone!

Fellow Art-Buds,
Thanks for your encouragement and emails. I haven't heard from Artystyc so I
guess her power is still out. So is her land line.

We made it through and last night the last feeder bands passes and we are
still with power. You cannot imagine how grateful we are. This time we bought a
generator to run the refrig., lights and a fan. Even though we never got to use
it (figures) we were comforted to know it was available. We still have to
deal with more possibel storms this season as it seems Africa has shot off quite
a few more into the Atlantic. Down here we watch them closely.

Our city still had some more damage as the last of some of our big oaks lost
their battle. So sad to see these stately trees downed. We will get to spend
Labor Day under cover as it is drizzling. We have a lot of yard clean up to do
and we are considering whether to take the boards down over the windows. I
hate living in a cave. Ivan is lurking and it takes a full day to prepare for a
storm. Maybe the best thing to do is to go shopping (HA!) Any stores open?
