RE: Frances Update from FL

Ha Ha - I've been trying to get all of my laundry done, as well. Similar thoughts. What strange things happen. I also made a roast, baked potatoes, and brownies for lunch today. My kids teased me - last hurricane I baked cookies. I like your idea of the popcorn. We'll have to do that. Don't know how long we'll be without power - when we lose it. Everything in this house is electric. My freezer and refridgerator is crammed tight with containers of water - to help it stay cool longer when the power goes. We, too have had some heavy rain and very gusty winds. It's supposed to get much worse tonight.
At church this morning there were around 20 people there, but when we got out, the weather hadn't changed much. It does seem to have gotten more gusty lately. I am praying God squashes this or sends it on it's way promptly. More than that, I am praying for those folks on the east coast who sat under this all yesterday... and now today.

        It's Me...
Glad I am still here. We have power surges now and winds are picking up but the storm is still moving slowly @ 7 mi. an hour. We are getting the bands of wind and rain. My daughter who lives 2 blocks away has lost her land mine. We have cable so we can watch the doppler radar. I hope it lasts. With Charlie, we lost it all. There is pelting rain now that goes and comes. One tree is down on our front lawn.
May sound crazy, but I decided to do our bed linens. If we lose power, we will have to sleep on them a long while. Clean underwear is a priority too. Forget about the bad hair day. Everyone looks as bad as I do! (hee-hee). The refrig is cranked up so high that my yougurt froze. Tastes pretty good too! I popped 4 bags of pop-corn yesterday to have on hand if the Microwave goes out.
We expect that we will get more of it this afternoon. I still am hoping it will turn or lose it's punch.
Patti (Artystyc) in Coral Springs, are you there? I heard that So. FL lost power.
