*thoughtfully snipped*
"it went well and was pretty fun. I think
students respond well to things like advertisements and packages. (Krispy
Kreme box: complimentary, Minnesota Vikings: complimentary, Marshall
Fields bag: monochromatic and analagous... I even found ads from old
Life magazines (1959) when ads were a little simpler...Kellog's ad:
primary and triadic and so on...)"
hmmm...ok..seeing this now as a part of language arts class..upper level..tho could be done on the intermediate level too...looking at ads and articles to see how color is used to attract and how the ad itself is written to entice folks to buy...were glittering generalities used? is there a theme there in colors? were jump on the bandwagon writing techniques used? any common pattern in color and design there, too?
ok..wheels turning here...again! You guys are all making my dendrites grow :)))
~Samanth...who *enjoys* going hmmmmmmmm :)
