There is alot of metal work done in Nigeria. When I teach it, this is the
country of reference for me. When I find my Nigerian Metal Works handout, I
will post it.

Deb,

Look up metalwork on Google, not metal tooling. According to one of the
  sites, it began around 2300 BC, in the Bronze age. The BBC had an
interesting site, some beautiful work.
