Re: Film Canisters

I am a photographer and am currently working towards a masters in Art Educ. I have huge trash bags full of film canisters and have also been wondering what kinds of projects I could use them for in the future. I don't have any project ideas but I think they might be useful for storing small amounts of paint or small things like beads. They also are great for spare change. For those of you who would like film canisters, try calling up professional photo places. A lot of places have gone digital but many still use film. Also, try the Medical Photo or Ophthalmic Photo depts. in hospitals. A lot of photographers just throw the canisters away but we save them because if nothing else the're made of #2 plastic so they can be recycled. Of course, some people won't want to be bothered but I'm sure there are folks out there who wouldn't mind saving them if someone could find a use for them.
