Hi Deb and list,
    There is more to be found if you look up "repoussé" ---from French for
"pushed back." It was found in the work of the Scythians circa the 6th
century BC and mostly seen as depictions of animals intertwined in combat.
Also look up images of icons. These are often done in repoussé.
