Overwhelmed!

Yikes!

I want to thank all of you for your notes of support. I am a new
teacher in a small rural school and as I said, the isolation is a bit
difficult - YOU make all the difference and have already helped me out
several times. I LOVE this list but I'm spending most of my evenings
planning the next days classes. I'm teaching K-12 and it's a LOT of
planning. I'm not finding time to keep up with everything and if I
don't keep up on this list there are literally hundreds of emails to
catch up on. I can only hope to be able to do lesson planning
faster/easier and regain some personal time for email etc.

Also, this school has a kiln that has never been used. They haven't
had an art teacher for 3 years and the kids are really excited about
starting clay. I have very little experience with clay. Someone told
me to get Nelson's Ceramics book and I've ordered that - I'll have to
learn as I go! I might literally just stay a day ahead of my students
in that area. Anybody advice for a novice potter? I have never fired
a kiln and know little about glazing etc.

I love you guys!
Lorene
