My wife, Sue, is like this. Genetic. Her grandmother and mother were the same way. I NEVER let her read a map and give me verbal directions when we're driving. I require that she physically point with a hand. It all keeps life interesting, but how do you explain to others when she's constantly holding up her left hand and making an "L" or putting her right hand over her heart to remember which is which? :>))
