If it makes you feel any better -- I thanked her a few times.
AND, she asked if I could contribute to her site -- she would set aside a section for me -- teaching history through art. I turned her on to an awesome group of art-type lesson plans to thank her.
Hope others can write you and tell you the same things.
Hugs,
Carola

Subject: Thank yous that come too late
I'm a bit befuddled
I am writing this for Judy Decker who signed off this list a couple of weeks ago. I know why she did, and she doesn't know I am writing this. (and I have hesitated to say this)
Since her sign off, there have been numerous thank yous to her. How does she know? she signed off.
The thanks should have come before she left.
it is easy to ask for and just as easy to give in return
Judy asked many times to have the help that she gives returned in a lesson but that didn't happen for her.
This internet is an easy place for gimmes
it's also an easy place to do it on your own doing a search takes a much time as asking someone else to do it for you.
When somebody offers something, give back in some fashion
Judy has been a guardian to this list and it's a sorry thing that she left.
This Getty list has been around for many years. Some have been here for a long time. MANY give. Just remember what you get and remember that even though it's only typed words on an electronic page there is a human being behind every word.
