I'm reading Maggie's suggestion and thinking that on the elementary school
level this is exactly what I would use as a REWARD! I choose different students
( grades 2-5) as Art Monitors each week who get the priviledge to do all that
dirty work. But, only after they have followed directions, worked slowly and
quietly, etc. do they earn that honor. With my babies (K-1) I choose the
children who have followed directions, done their work quietly and carefully,
etc. to be my "magician's assistant". Then, at the end of the class that child
assists me in a magic trick. Most of you on the list for a while have already
read about how much the kids love my magic bag tricks as a reward for their
efforts. LOL...so funny how kids' attitudes change as they grow up.
