Does anybody do a creative lesson with this....my brain just isn't working
yet lol...I think I am just going to have them paint the still life. Any ideas?
I did this project a few years back with 4-5 year olds.
We made a cut vase from a folded piece of paper (And talked about symmetry -
I had them draw the line first to make sure they "got it") Then we drew
simple line flowers on different colored construction paper and cut them out with
decorative scissors. (Adding a center circle out of a contrasting color) The
next week I gave them a piece of construction paper and had them glue on a
strip at the bottom that was about 1/3 the size. We then discussed background,
middle ground and forground (And glued the vase on at this point - I had
already worked out in advance the size the paper needed to be for the vase based on
this) Then the drew lines coming out of the mouth of the vase and glued their
cut flowers on. They turned out looking great. I "think" I thought this one
up on my own... but I migh have borrowed the idea?? Its been at least 3
years ago... LOL
I hade pictures at one time... no idea where they are now, though.
