Congratulations for getting involved! How wonderful that your proposal was
accepted.

Yes, it is a little unusual to receive such "lack" of communication, but
these organizations are run by volunteers who are artists for goodness
sake! Prompt communication is not always our strong suit.

Yes, it is typical to pay the full price for the conference even if you are
a presenter. Hopefully they'll attach a ribbon on your nametag and everyone
will know you were so charitable.
