Having enjoyed the knowledge of all those arts educators who contribute to
this list it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to return some of that
knowledge.

If you are interested in Australian Aboriginal art you might like to look
at these sites:

http://www.abc.net.au/messge/blackarts/visual/default.htm

http://www.atsic.gov.au/Classroom/Default.asp

http://www.cultureandrecreation.gov.au/

http://dlibrary.acu.edu.au/library/elusefulart.htm

http://www.cooeeart.com.au/stockframeall.htm

A few artists you might like to consider:

Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri
Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri
Michael Nelson Tjakamarra
Leah King-Smith

Suggest that any discussion of Indigenous (Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander) art should emphasise the importance of spirituality. You should
be able to find some discussion of the spiritual importance of Indigenous
art on the ATSIC Web site.

Best Wishes.

Vicki (Perth, Western Australia)
