Yes, the drawing portfolio embraces all drawing media, painting and
printmaking because you have to draw to do all that other stuff(although
non-representational paintings and prints would fit better in the design
portfolio). Come to think of it, I even had a student get a "4" on a
drawing portfolio that included a concentration of drawing on clay. She
made a twelve-tile ceramic mural and took a slide of her original drawing
plan and then one of each tile. Then she put them altogether and took a
final shot of the mural.
