I don't recommend adding Elmer's white glue to Art Paste. The mixture
doesn't stay mixed, and it doesn't last as long. I do recommend doing at
least two layers of newsprint on your form and then covering that with
several layers of paper towels. Be sure whatever paper you use is
thoroughly soaked in glue. Some of my kids use way too much glue and it
makes a big mess, but it sure does dry hard. Don't be afraid of the glue!
One problem I had, though, is certain brands of art paste, like Ross, are
lumpier than others (Elmer's art paste is smoother). This year I was sent
another brand, so we'll see. Finally, if there are any inpurities, like
paper, left in the glue, it will spoil, mold, or mildew.
