Hi, I have done castles using the pressed cardboard packaging that some lighting
fixtures came in. ( or something came in!) they were about 2'X2' and I had four
per table. so each table made one castle.( glued the for corners together with
strips of paper and hot glue. then we mixed tints and used sponges to cover (
originally purple) adding various lightness and shades of one color.
We used sno-cone holders to make tower roofs, and paper draw bridges, also
medieval flags mounted on tooth picks and attached. Finally glued to large flat
cardboard to allow room for moats for the ones that finished early. I have the
correct terminology of the parts, etc at school, This was second grade.
Fun, and they turned out well. I am probably leaving out some crucial part,
because I'm tired, but basically that is what we did. We looked at various
castles and I got alot of castle books.
