The architect who designed our building, bless his heart, put air intake
flues for the Fine arts building in my storage room!! Also, no heat ducts,
so there is a heater up on the wall. Which means I can't store
combustables in therer. Also, there have been 3 (three) fires in the
nation, where the intake flues turned into chimneys,.....so I can't have
ANYTHING on that wall. Everything has to be one foot away from the heater.
So ZI have a piece of red duct tape on the floor to mark it! And, yes
theymake suprise inspections, and in our case, when they make (get) new
rules, they don't fax them to you ahead of time so that you can comply!
So, I found out that my storage room was not in compliance two years ago on
the last day of school and had to have it in compliance before I left!!!!
