You may be interested in Pam Stephens and Nancy
Walkup's book, Bridging the Curriculum through Art.
It is excellent!
It has an awsome template to create a radial symmetry
design along with the vocabulary used in geometry.
There are also lessons on human proportions,
perspective and tesselations. I got it when Pamela
mentioned the section of geodesic structures and LOVE
it!
The science chapter is also excellent and takes a
scientific approach to color theory and ceramics.
Some ideas they have included are also biomes,
metamorphosis and botanical studies (ooo-think
Leonardo!)

They also developed a set of posters with realted
activities available through Crystal productions for
Science and Math. I bought the Social Studies one and
it is oustanding. My principal wouldn't spring for
the sets, but perhaps yours will, if specific units
have been requested??? These are cool, because the
classroom teacher can use art to teach their content,
but you can also use them to build interdisciplinary
connections!
