Rousseau and Line

I loved how our Rousseau jungles came out when we started them from
live plants. I had my 7th grade make contour line drawings of 3-5
plants in my room. They traced these drawings onto a larger paper,
overlapping shapes, turning them upside down or backwards, using parts
of them and mixing all the different plants on the page. By filling the
page with observed drawings, the jungles looked very sophisticated and
real.
