My first thought is to do the printmaking project anyways! If it were me I
would probably have the kids make detailed prints of leaves or other nature
item (science link). Then you could have them do some calligraphy (includes
measurement) and write about the details of their item. The final product
would look like an old botany book. They could color pencil their final
prints as well.
