We have the same dreary looking halls. The fire regulations are not new, at least here is Massachusetts, but they are now being enforced. NOTHING hanging in the halls, not even on bulletin boards unless it is fire-retardant paper?? or enclosed in a glass case. Due to budget cutbacks we are losing our jobs, so how are schools expected to pay for glass encased bulletin boards. I know safety of the students and staff should be high on the priority list, but this is overkill.
