My fourth graders are doing a grid drawing/enlargemtn of a American Symbol.
We went over the history of each one and explored the meaning behind the
symbol. We are using. Statue of Liberty, MountRushmore, the Whte House, the
Capital, the American Flag, the eagle, Lincoln Memorial. We are using
colored pencils.
It's surprising how much kids don't know about the monuments and other
symbols in our country. Janet
