Re: Free time activities

I try not to have to much free time...I only see my students one hour a
week...I know some of you see them less than that...I feel it is my
responsibilty to make sure that hour is packed and used wisely!
But....if/when there is free time...for K-1 I pull out blocks, clay
(plasticine), free drawing or they can read a book from the "art library".
For older students, I really don't give them free time.....they usually have
way too much to do. On the off chance there might be someone who really
really is finished...I will let them do free drawing.. but once the year gets
going and they are into their lessons, there usually is no free time. We
just have very full lessons/class periods. Sometimes I will have the early
birds help clean up...but again...that really doesn't happen very often.
