Glue sticks, white glue, etc.

Date: Tue Sep 25 2001 - 19:37:48 PDT

Thanks to everyone who posted advice about organizing tempera. So many great
ideas, and I've been trying them this week. Here's the next question for
"wise art teachers." What do you all use for glue? We're finishing a mixed
media piece combining drawings and paintings of dogs and cats, various papers
to create background and midground, etc. The problem is we have been using
glue sticks to stick stuff down. The glue sticks don't stay stuck. They're
expensive and the kids go through them at an alarming rate. On the other
hand, white glue causes ripples and gets messy with my little guys. How do
you organize glue usage? Squeeze bottles, some squeezed out on lids, etc.?
Thanks in advance.
