Hi Judy,
I did a similar assignment as a final exam for first semester Drawing and
painting. We do not have access to the internet, so draged in all kinds of art
reference books. Kids had to research the background behind the painting they
chose to paroday. They had to draw the piece, then change at least 3 major
parts of the painting or drawing. They had to complete the drawing or painting
in a medium other than what the original was completed in. Most had a great
time with this assignment and did a super job with the creative challenge.
They incorporated some of todays ideas into their old masterworks. Some were a
riot! Thanks for sharing so generously.
