write protected photos

Hey all,

I was trying to create a simple flash animation in remembrance of last
tuesdays events, but all the photos I've copied from the net from Newsweek
and Time seem to be write protected some how. Meaning that I can't use them
in other apps.

Anybody know how they did this? I would love to be able to apply this tech.
to some of my own photos I've uploaded.
