I've been trying to keep up with the huge amount of mail. You all have been
expressing so many of the feelings I and many others around me are
experiencing. I'm impressed how many of you have jumped in to action with art
responses. You are inspiring me to do something especially since we were not
allowed to talk about it to the kids ,on the day of the horrific event.
We talked at a school staff meeting about how the kids might be processing this
event and their possible responses. I think even as adults it is hard to
process this whole situation- disbelief, anger, extreme sadness, patriotism and
a numbness.
We need to stick together and support our government. There 's been so much
anger and hate in our country and all of the sudden it has stopped in it's
track for a while. Why do bad things have to happen before people stop and see
what is going on?
