Don;t know if this is what you are looking for - I kept my lesson very simple
this
morning. As I had said in a previous e-mail I had decided to do simple doves
of peace. Preceding this lesson I asked the kids where they thought Peace
should
begin. Some said the President, their Mom = their Dad and finally one person
said
with "ME". I said yes - the people that committed the horrible crime
yesterday are
adults and have made a decision to be mean and not be peaceful. However their
children could learn from you. Let us practice being peaceful in our
classroom today, at lunch today, on the playground and when you get home. We
are going
to make Doves of Peace today so that we can be reminded - we will hang one in
the halls and one may be taken home to share with your families. Perhaps as
we practice being peaceful those children in other nations will hear about
you choosing
peaceful ways instead of hate and will realize that they too could choose
Peace.
They could learn from you.

Yes I know all this is very ideal but hope I planted a seed or two in their
young minds. Roberta
