Plasticine & Homemade Paper

Date: Sun Sep 09 2001 - 15:17:18 PDT

Hi... Gang,
Anyone have a really easy way to make paper?
Also I need any easy ways to use Plasticine too (never tried either mediums
with my students)

Here's why:
I am planning some various lesson inspired by the illustrators of certain
children's books, i.e., Rachel Isadora (cartoon & comic strip techniques),
Barbara Reid (plasticine), Marcia Brown and Barry Moser( awesome block
printers), pop ups by Robert Sabuda and Jan Pienkowski, quilting by Faith
Ringgold, dreamy pastels by Ed Young, Jan Brett's illustration techniques,
Eric Carle and Ezra Jack Keats -- collage, and homemade paper techniques by
the great Denise Fleming. Also love the paper layering techniques of David
Wisniewski. I also thought I'd have the students create flip book inspired by
the characters of Dr. Suess.
Can you help?
