I use "thumbs up!" Stop what you are doing, look at me and listen.
Especially if you practice with the kinders.....I use this with all Ele
grades...they love it. and praise praise praise when it happens!!!
Eventually you can just use the hand signal and not say anything. Because I
have all the students in my school, I can even use this in the cafeteria or
the hall and it works. Also several classroom teachers use this method.
