I teach high school in Texas and we have 6 periods a day. We all teach 5
classes and have 1 for planning. (50 minute classes). I guess that is about
250 minutes a week. I believe it is less at the middle school because they
teach 6 classes with 1 off. I'm not sure about elementary.
Another question: What is your average class size? I have 33 in each class
this year. Last year it was 31, but they insist it was 33 last year
also........I just forgot!
I should get 33 in writing so when they bring 35 next year and say I had 35
last year I will have proof!!!! (haha)
By the way, Bunki, I did "Vasarely Waves" off of the oodles CD for my first
Art I project. and the kids loved it. They had to bring a plastic 1" binder
this year so this was made to go into the plastic and decorate the front
cover of their art notebook. Inside it has 4 divisions..vocabulary, artists,
notes, and sketches. They also had to get a manilla forlder to keep in the
front pocket to hold their pictures they collect. So far so good, just not
totally sure how often I will grade it.
